Introduction

contextMenu is javascript software that allows you to set up a HTML menu object on enabled browsers. The code is compact and memory efficient, it allows front end developers to concentrate on style and funtionality of the menu using only HTML and CSS.

It has a number of controlling parameters which determine it's size, look & feel, how long it can be seen and which mouse events cause it to be displayed. It also has methods which allow it to be re-initialised with new parameters, closed and destroyed.

The working example is the best way to see the features.

License

contextMenu is open source has a dual license:

1. Commercial Use
   
   The WOT Commercial License, which allows you to provide commercial software licenses to your customers or distribute applications that include contextMenu. This is for organizations that do not want to release the source code for their applications as open source/free software; in other words they do not want to comply with the GNU General Public License (GPL). 2. Non Commercial License
   
   For those developing open source applications, the open source license allows you to offer your software under a open source/free software license to all who wish to use, modify, and distribute it freely. The Open Source License allows you to use the software at no charge under the condition that if you use this software in an application you redistribute, the complete source code for your application must be available and freely redistributable under reasonable conditions. Compatibility

contextMenu will work on any browser that is enabled and compliant with javascript 1.5. It is advisable for the browser to be CSS 2 compliant. If you have verified that contextMenu works on system other than the ones listed below, please let us know. It has been tested on the following systems:
